Events and Classes

We offer a variety of parent workshops and child classes. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us via email ( or phone (860-813-2648).

Developmental Playgroup

Playgroups are designed to meet the developmental needs of children ages 2-4. All ability levels are welcome. Each playgroup has a theme. The playgroups will include opportunities to participate in: pretend play, fine and gross motor activities, language building through stories, songs, finger-play, and cognitive (learning) skill activities. Children can move through the activities as they wish with the guidance of their parents and will be given lots of opportunities to interact and play alongside their peers.

Registration is open for the summer session. Summer playgroups are drop-in. You pick the individual dates that work best for your family.

This group is for children ages 4-5 who are ready for more structure and group activities than what our playgroups offer. It will consist of a half hour of play and 45 minutes of a group story/lesson, games and hands-on projects. Parents stay on premise during the class but children are encouraged to participate independently.

Kinder-play will resume in the fall.

Speech and Language Screenings

By Appointment

If you have questions regarding your child's speech and language skills, you are welcome to join us for a free screening. Screenings are meant to collect a quick sample of the child's speech and language skills. Families will get a chance to voice their concerns and will be given feedback as to whether or not their child could benefit from a full evaluation or if they are on track with expectations for their age. Screenings are conducted by a certified speech and language pathologist. Each appointment is 15 minutes. Call or text to schedule an appointment.

Learn, Explore, Create!

Join us for our project-based learning classes for ages 6-7. Each class is 1.5 hours long and focuses on a given topic. The first hour consists of a group lesson and hands on activities to reinforce the concepts and deepen understanding. Activities may vary depending on the topic. Content is geared towards kindergarten through second grade learning. The last half hour is for age-appropriate play with peers (because we know kids at this age still learn A LOT from play and can benefit from working on their social communication skills.)

Learn, Explore, Create will resume in the fall.

Creative Hands

This group is for children ages 4-6 who are ready for whole body learning about letters and language, working the small muscles in their hands through play, and challenging their visual systems in a variety of ways. It will include a mix of self-directed play opportunities as well as more structured group activities. Parents stay on premise during the class but children who feel ready are encouraged to participate with the Occupational Therapist independently.

Sensory Explorers

Come feed your child’s need for stimulating their senses! We will have opportunities available each week for proprioceptive, vestibular, and tactile play. All ability levels are welcome. Children will move through the activities as they wish with the guidance of their parents. Example activities may include “potion making,” “rock mining,” and slime creation. This group will be run by an Occupational Therapist who can support your child's sensory needs.
